Kathe’s Corner- Medicated Bath Bombs

Why use pain meds when you can use natural methods?

Natural remedies have been around for ages, such as Hot Tottie, Vicks Vapor Rub, etc.

In my experience with pharmaceutical medicines, I have had a bad reaction to most. Instead of helping it caused nausea, made me sleepy, and if for pain, the pain did not get better just made me dopey. So I have been using natural products made by God.  If you look at the root of most medical problems the culprit is inflammation.  You can ease the inflammation, most problems become tolerable or even go away altogether. A beautiful thing about medicinal cannabis, it’s a strong anti-inflammatory and can be very helpful with disease and illness.  It also helps with appetite and insomnia that usually comes with some of the medications required to manage severe illness.

The Bath Bomb (Cannabis Infused)

The bath bomb is a wonderful way to finish your day, setting you up for a good nights sleep, to wake up with aches and pains feeling much better if not gone. Your joints move much smoother and any tension and anxiety that might be felt is soothed from aromatherapy provided by essential oil combinations to relax, clarify, settle, energize and motivate depending on the essential oils used in each bath bomb.

If there are specific essential oil combinations that you enjoy, here is a recipe for you to try at home.  The recipe does call for medicated cannabis oil. Coconut oil, and grape seed are great options to infuse, the choice is a personal one, both oils that are listed are healthy for topical and edible use (make sure it is food grade).

Recipe for homemade Eucalyptus, Spearmint, Lavender bath bomb:

  • 3 Cups Epsom salts
  • 1 Cup Corn starch
  • 1 Cup Citric Acid
